Praise the wet snow
falling early.
Praise the shadow
my neighbor's chimney casts on the tile roof
even this gray October day that should, they say,
have been golden.
Praise
the invisible sun burning beyond
the white cold sky, giving us
light and the chimney's shadow.
Praise
god or the gods, the unknown,
that which imagined us, which stays
our hand,
our murderous hand,
and gives us
still,
in the shadow of death,
our daily life,
and the dream still
of goodwill, of peace on earth.
Praise
flow and change, night and
the pulse of day.

For peace
love, light and peace.
blessings to you, RubDMC.
For peace my friends, I am a witness.
Thanks for your work on this. I have been following it for some time and it is meaningful and important that you publish the grief and agony that attend the war in Iraq. Americans cannot know the cost being paid by the troops if they don’t know the reality of the war.
For peace.
For peace, for my children and for all children everywhere.
Thank you for continuing your work here.
We are all witnesses! This insane war must end!
I have a blog called Faces of Grief. It focuses on pictures of Iraqi grief, and I guess I am a major copy-write infringer.... but I found the pictures on Yahoo News and other sites were gone before you know it, so saving the link got nowhere.
I am not doing it for money or fame, though. Just to remember.

Keep Up The Great Work. I have added you to my favorites and will be checking in often. Thanks for reminding us about what we're fighting against and why we should not remain silent. Peace
For peace, we continue the vigil.

Thank you for your service, Rub. Your diaries are a daily stop for me to meditate on the actions of war and peace around the world.
